Introduction

What to Expect

Children will enjoy a variety of woodland activities, including:

  • Shelter building
  • Fire lighting and campfire cooking
  • Woodland walks and nature exploration
  • Discovering bugs, animal tracks, and wildlife
  • Free play and downtime with hammocks and storytelling around the fire

With a maximum of 20 children per day, each child receives plenty of support and encouragement to grow in confidence, self-esteem, and outdoor skills.

Safety & Supervision

All activities are led by trained and experienced staff.

  • Qualified group leaders
  • First aid trained
  • DBS checked

Children are safely supervised at all times while being guided on exciting adventures through the magical woodland.

Extra Information

Children with additional needs
If your child has any additional needs please contact us before booking. If your child or a child in your group has a learning/support mentor at school or 1:1 provision we require you to provide a similar mentor to support your child during the Woodland Holiday Club. The mentor must be a qualified person with credentials which can be checked. This person must have a DBS certificate. If Woodland Holiday Club staff are not informed of your child’s special needs during the booking process and they arrive to the session without a support mentor, you will be contacted and asked to provide a support mentor. If you are unable to do so, you will be required to collect your child from the Woodland Holiday Club. This condition is in place to keep your child safe and secure in an outdoor learning environment.
