Introduction

Inspired by Nature - ink making with oak galls - Tuesday 18th November - 10:00am - 12:30pm

In this workshop, we'll explore the history of ink making and discover the wide variety of useful materials and resources found in nature - including the oak gall. From the Magna Carta to the musical scores of Bach and Beethoven, from the works of Shakespeare and Jane Austen to the Declaration of American Independence – all were created using ink from the humble Oak Gall.

We will experiment with traditional and ancient recipes and play with a range of dip pens, quills, and brushes. Participants will take home a pot of ink and plenty of inspiration to start creating their own masterpieces and artworks!
