Expeditions and Day/Weekend Courses run by Path Hill Adventures are practical “hands-on” programmes. Throughout their stay, adults will be involved in a range of activities that are potentially hazardous. All activities are risk assessed and led by a qualified/experienced instructor.
Third Party/Personal Accident cover is provided, however participants will not be covered if:
• They act without the explicit consent of the instructor
• They act to endanger themselves or others
• They leave the group to which they have been designated
• Medical conditions have not been disclosed (particularly epilepsy, diabetes, asthma, mental illness, brain disorders, joint or bone conditions, heart or blood conditions, other physical/learning disability)
• Medical consent has not been given stating agreement with the above information and conditions.
On occasion, participants may be provided with equipment. This must be used in the approved manner at all times.
All participants must remain in any teaching area designated by instructors. Any decision taken by the instructors is final. Participants acting irresponsibly or posing a threat to themselves or others shall be removed from the activity.
DATA PROTECTION
Under the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) Act 2018, any confidential information regarding you will not be stored by Path Hill Adventures or passed on to third parties without your consent. The data will only be stored at the centre until the activity is complete or until your account is cancelled.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Booking an event constitutes acceptance of this policy. A booking is deemed to have taken place upon receipt of an online booking/registration and payment or in the case of a bespoke course, on the receipt of an electronic or paper booking form and a registration fee or full payment.
DAY AND WEEKEND COURSES
Cancellation of attendance on a Day or Weekend Course can be made without charge up to 28 days before the booking commences.
Attendance cancelled between 28 days and 14 days before the event will be liable for 50% of the full charge.
Attendance cancelled 14 days or less before the event will be liable for the full charge.
If a cancellation is due to a Covid related illness, the same terms as above will apply.
Refunds to customers made within these terms will be given (minus the booking and registration fee).
EXPEDITIONS (Any course that takes place away from Path Hill Outdoors premises)
A non-refundable registration fee of £75 must be paid to secure a booking. The final balance must be paid 5 weeks prior to your expedition start date.
Cancellation of attendance for an expedition can be made without charge up to 35 days before the booking commences.
Attendance cancelled between 35 days and 0 days before the event will be liable for 100% of the full charge.
Registration fees, amendment fees and insurance premiums are non-refundable and depending on your payment options and how close it is to your expedition departure date you may be liable for cancellation charges.
If a cancellation is due to a Covid related illness, the same terms as above will apply.
Refunds to customers made within these terms will be given (minus the booking fee, registration fee, amendment and insurance).
CANCELLATION BY PATH HILL ADVENTURES
PHO reserves the right to change or cancel an event due to circumstances outside its control and where it is deemed that customers and staff may be put at risk. Circumstances include (but are not limited to) adverse weather conditions such as heavy snow, high winds, flooding and staff illness. In the event of a cancellation by PHO we will refund the value of the booking, seek a suitable placement on a similar event or rearrange the date of the event.

Please arrive at the designated drop-off point at least 5 minutes before the event starts. When collecting your child, please be at the pick-up point in plenty of time.
